This was a really great week. We had the chance to go to the temple, and that was one of my favorite days so far. I loved being in the house of the Lord. The spirit there was so strong, and I got to be there with a bunch of great people. I went into the temple with a couple of questions, and I feel that they were answered there. The week also had some hard things as well. We had to say goodbye to Elder Gifford, who will go down as one of my best mission friends. He is probably currently sitting at 30,000 feet. It's sad to see him go, but we made a promise to email every week. He has even said he will fly out to Chicago to come to my homecoming when I come home. We had some great conversations together, and I'll always remember how he come out on his mission and left a totally different person ready to live the gospel the rest of his life.

So, while the kids fell though on their date for the 17th, Pam was all solid to go. She passed her baptismal interview with flying colors and only became more excited as the date grew closer. The day came and the setting was fantastic. Some of her non-member friends came, and there were other missionaries who have taught her in the past. Elder Coburn did the baptizing, and myself and Elder Chamberlain were witnesses. The talks given were perfect, and there is no doubt that Sister Campbell has joined the greatest ward for her. The next day was her confirmation. I was lucky enough to be able to confirm her a member of the church and bestow upon her the gift of the Holy Ghost. It was a big crowd to do that in front of, but I think I did an okay job. The spirit in the meeting was amazing, and Larry (Pam's husband) even showed up in pants... Apparently something he NEVER does.

Today was transfer day, and...... I am sticking around Hesperia. Elder Coburn though was not so lucky. He has been moved up to Barstow. I am now with Elder Infanger. He seems great so far, and I look forward to getting to work with him. I am so blessed to be able to stay where I am. The three kids, by the way, are getting baptized this Saturday. They made it to church and will be all set to go. I am so happy for them. They are really excited and anxious to get into the waters of baptism. They even made me show them the baptismal font at church so they could see it. Today is interesting with transfers, so I am sorry for yet another short email. I love you all so much. Have a great week.

Love,

Elder Thelander
